“VIRGINIA IS FOR CRAFT BEER LOVERS!”
July 24, 2013 – Virginia Beer Live is the first indoor Virginia craft beer festival to feature over 20 Virginia-based breweries at the Richmond Coliseum. This event is focused on local music, food and an unprecedented selection of Virginia’s finest beers. Come out and enjoy Richmond’s Downtown with an evening of Virginia-brewed libations. Mix and mingle on the arena floor while you sample over 40 beers and meet the brewers who create them!
Capital Ale House
With a Music Hall featuring several live shows a week, this 108 year old, 25 foot wide by half-a-city-block-long building has 55 taps and a selection of over 200 bottled beers. A separate lower level gaming area is open every night and perfect for spending time after work or late night. The Beer Garden offers communal seating, and European inspired fountain. Banquets and gatherings can be accommodated in a private dining room and in the Music Hall. The Downtown location offers free parking after 4pm weekdays and anytime on weekends in the Lanier Parking Systems Deck located on 6th & Cary Street.
On the Rox
On the Rox Bar & Grille is located in the historic Shockoe Bottom area of Richmond. Located on 18th Street between Franklin and Grace, open 7 days a week, On the Rox provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy great food, spirits and live entertainment. They were selected by Richmond Magazine as one of 2012 best new restaurants! Locally owned and operated, On the Rox offers exceptional cuisine with a neighborhood bar and grille atmosphere and price. Their Executive Chef creates seasonal menus and weekly features pairing local products with craft beers. Join them on the weekends for brunch, featuring a bloody mary bar, mimosas, and our signature cocktails.
Since 1909, The Popkin Building at 123 W. Broad has served Richmond as a furniture showroom. Part of Furniture Row, the Popkin building was home to Popkin Furniture from 1968 until 2004. Recently, the building underwent a transformation to 18 luxury apartments and Popkin Tavern on the first floor. Popkin Tavern is Richmond’s first Gastro Pub. Popkin Tavern is a great place to relax with good food in a great environment. One of the few truly unique places left in Richmond, they have private party areas, a huge dining and bar area, and several lounge spaces. With 18 beers on tap, 24 craft beer lines, an eclectic wine list, specialty cocktails and a constantly changing seasonal menu.
Upscale, yet casual seafood restaurant nestled in the historic Grace St. corridor of downtown Richmond, serving up seasonal dishes, craft beers, diverse wine, signature cocktails, and an enormous raw bar focusing on their very own oyster farms (ie, Rappahannock Oyster Co.). Rappahannock has assembled incredible talent to revolutionize the concept of farm to table.
