Handicapped Accessible Seating

The Richmond Coliseum would like to thank you for your interest in attending Virginia’s premier sports and entertainment venue. Our employees are dedicated to providing all of our patrons with a pleasurable experience and a comfortable environment. The following information should provide you with answers to questions you may have upon visiting our facility.

ADA

Individuals who contact the Richmond Coliseum regarding the purchase of tickets for wheelchair accessible and/or companion seats for reasons relating to a disability will be informed of all available such seating that has not been sold at that time. Such individuals will be advised if any wheelchair accessible discounted seats are currently available. These discounted accessible seats will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis.

Individuals seeking wheelchair accessible or companion seating, for reasons relating to a disability, will be given first preference for such tickets.

Tickets for wheelchair accessible and/or companion seating will not be sold to any person, except a person requesting such seats for reasons relating to a disability, until all other seats in that ticket category have been sold.

To the extent the Richmond Coliseum Joint Venture controls or operates the concessions at the Richmond Coliseum, servers, staff, and or cashiers at those concession stands shall assist disabled customers by going around the counter to accept payment and serve food or drink.

ADA/accessible parking is available at 7th Street Circle (adjacent to sweetFrog Box Office), 5th and Marshall Street parking lot and the Coliseum deck on North 7th Street. Parking spots are available on a first-come, first serve basis. ADA persons can be dropped off at the 7th Street Circle and vehicles parked in one of the lots mentioned above. ADA patrons can also park in the 7th Street Circle temporarily to purchase tickets at the sweetFrog Box Office. ADA elevator can be accessed at the 5th and 7th Street entrances.

Richmond Coliseum does not have wheelchairs on the premises except in the case of an emergency; prepare in advance if you require a wheelchair.

Disabled Seating FAQs

Where can I purchase disabled tickets?
Disabled seating is available by request at any Ticketmaster outlet, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, online at www.ticketmaster.com, and the sweetFrog Box Office. Please indicate when buying tickets if you require accessible seating.

How many tickets may I purchase?
Because seating for persons with disabilities is limited, only three additional tickets are allowed for an attendant within the same section. If other tickets are needed, they will be placed as close as possible to the disabled section.

When can I purchase disabled seating?
Disabled Seating is available on the first day of public on sale.

Where can I park?
Persons with disabilities may park in the 5th and 7th Street parking circles. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis as availability is limited. Unauthorized cars will be subject to towing.

Where should I enter the building?
All entrances are wheelchair accessible so you may enter the building on the street level through the 5th, 6th, or 7th Street entrances. For most events, the 7th Street Entrance is designated our accessible entrance while 6th Street is open to everyone.
